I became related in this hobby many years ago, when my sister-in-law invited me to go to visit Joy, her North American friend. I got to know how to create personal albums of photos. She said to me that this was scrapbooking. I didn’t take lot of attention of how it was named, maybe because of the difficulty to pronounce it. The idea of the album really did not mean much to me at first, but I liked the idea to share ideas with people who I did not know.
After my first encounter with "scrapbooking" I got addicted to it. I learned to implement the meaning of scrapbooking with the basic skills like to document our own history and special moments of our life, preserving photos with the suitable materials. From this day on, many things happened since then. But looking back I have to confess that a new world has opened for me. I can express my thoughts and feelings in a very creative and pleasant way and share my designs with other people, especially with those who do scrapbooking. I love every page I create and dedicate them to my beloved ones. Since then all I see it with eyes of Scrapbooking.
I have been living in Spain for already three years. I was looking for something of scrapbooking here. Although it seemed impossible to believe that there did not exist anything related to this hobby, neither papers, nor products, nor meetings, nor nothing... until now, that I had the luck to find the site of 1 World Scrap. I think it’s the first site dedicated to scrapbooking, cardmaking and stamping in Spain. In fact it was the unique thing that it I needed in this country to be perfect for me.
